A Good Day To Die
A GOOD DAY TO DIE
I heard the raven call
From a blood red sky
There was blood on the wind
There was death in his eye
I heard the raven call
‘Sky’s on fire’ he said
‘Come fly with me
To the land of the dead.’
When the raven calls you
From a blood-red sky
The day has your name on it
It’s a good day to die
I heard the raven call again
‘This is your day’ he said
‘There is blood on the wind
There is fire in your head’
When the raven calls you
From a blood-red sky
The day has your name on it
It’s a good day to die
When the raven calls you
From a blood-red sky
The day has your name on it
It’s a good day to die
So I fell into the black wind
Into the shape-shift night
I fell into his death-song
In the dying light
I spread my dark wings
Turned my back on the light
And I followed the raven
Into that good night
When the raven calls you
From a blood-red sky
The day has your name on it
It’s a good day to die
When the raven calls you
From a blood-red sky
The day has your name on it
It’s a good day to die
The day has your name on it!
